About
Humble Voice is built by Humble Media, an independent software studio that makes Mac and iOS tools the way they used to be made — one thing, done well, yours to keep.
Who we are
Humble Media is an independent software studio. We make one-time-purchase utilities that respect the people who buy them: no subscriptions, no accounts, no telemetry, no platforms-in-disguise. One thing. Done well. Yours to keep.
What we make
Humble Voice is one of a small family of tools from Humble Media:
- humblemedia.net — the studio itself, and the home for everything we ship.
- Humble Zen — Record once. Understand forever. On-device transcription that turns your voice, videos, and PDFs into summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and a knowledge base you can actually search. $19.99 one-time, private by design.
- 30hands — Slides + Voice = Video. The video creation app that finally gets out of your way. No timelines, no keyframes — just your slides, your voice, and a finished video in minutes. Built for classrooms and teams. Available on iOS and the web.
The founder
Carmen Ferrara is an entrepreneur, developer, and educator based in Boston. Over fifteen years he's built multiple self-funded businesses, with apps downloaded by millions of people around the world. He started 30hands more than a decade ago to make video creation possible for teachers and students who weren't going to wrestle with a timeline editor — and that same instinct (build the simple tool people actually need, and get out of the way) runs through everything Humble Media ships today.
When he's not building, Carmen teaches — producing video tutorials and online courses for people who want to build their own web and mobile apps. You can read more about his work at humblemedia.net.
The philosophy
Most software wants to be a platform. We want to be a hammer. Software you reach for, do a thing with, and put back down. Built once, owned forever, doesn't phone home. Priced like a tool, not a tax.
If that resonates, you're in the right place.
