Privacy Policy

1. The short version

Humble Voice is a Mac application that performs dictation entirely on your local device. We do not operate any server that receives your audio, your transcripts, or any data derived from them. We don't have user accounts. We don't ship analytics or telemetry. We collect and process only the minimum data required to sell you a license and answer your email.

2. What never leaves your Mac

The following are processed only on your Mac and are never transmitted to Humble Media or to any third party:

• Your voice and any audio captured for dictation
• The text Humble Voice produces from that audio
• The contents of the apps you dictate into
• Your clipboard contents
• Your hotkey activity or usage frequency
• Any metadata about what you said, when, or how often you used the app

3. What requires the internet

Humble Voice works offline once installed. A handful of operations do touch the network:

• First-launch model download. The Whisper speech-recognition model is downloaded from Apple or our content delivery network. After that, transcription is offline.
• Update checks (optional). The app can check our update feed to see if a newer version is available. You can disable this from the menu bar.
• Purchase & license verification, handled by our payment processor.

4. Purchases

When you buy a license, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record. They receive your name, email address, billing details, and payment method. We receive your email address and a record of the purchase so that we can issue a license and reply to you.

We do not see or store your card number. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

5. Email correspondence

If you write to us at support@humblemedia.net, your message is stored by our email provider so that we can read and reply to it. We don't use your support email for marketing.

6. Third parties

We never sell or share your personal information with third parties, except where it's necessary to deliver the product to you (for example, our payment processor for purchases) or where we are required to by law.

7. Cookies and analytics

The Humble Voice marketing website (humblevoice.app) does not set cookies, run analytics scripts, or fingerprint your browser. The application itself does not send analytics either.

8. Your rights

You can request a copy or deletion of any personal information we hold about you — purchase record, support correspondence — at any time by emailing support@humblemedia.net. We'll respond within 30 days.

9. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
